1) The DOHC in the 92+(if memory serves me right) really makes a difference. I always loved the 300zx but couldn't always afford one. So I bought a 240SX. And did not regret it one bit. It grew on me instantly. That light, nimble car...all it needed was more power. Eventually I got to the point where I could find and afford a z32. I kept the 240sx as a beater...but I can still never think of it as just a beater. For every mod I think about for the Z, I think about getting it for the 240SX. Its just too hard to compare the two; but I think both definately have their advantages. Considering the Silvia and 180SX's are probably the most abundant street racing cars in Japan, there is definately something about the car...aside from being relatively cheap, light, RWD and well balanced. Its unfortunate that in the USDM we get the underpowered version. The 240SX is the car I wish I had when I was in High School and college. But now I think the Z is more my style.
